Josh works closely with artists at any stage in the creative process, bringing a collaborative and detail driven approach that supports and realises the artists vision.

As an engineer at Universal Music’s Forbes Street Studios, he has worked alongside artists such as The Avalanches, INXS, Lil Nas X, BENEE, Sophie Hutchings, and on projects for The Voice TV show. Josh also works out of his own studio located at Offbeat Collective in Marrickville.

With a keen ear for texture, Josh excels in creating rich sonic landscapes. His personal collection of equipment includes analog synths, drum machines, pedals, and outboard effects, which he uses to blend hands-on experimentation with cutting-edge production techniques. Whether it’s distorting sounds through cassette tapes, crafting intricate effect chains, writing orchestral arrangements, or programming both hardware and software synths, Josh strives for authentic results which serve the intention and essence of a song. With experience in playing multiple instruments, he is able to provide creative and musical ideas to enhance the projects he works on.

A specialist in Dolby Atmos and Spatial Audio, Josh is a leading talent in immersive audio production. His recent projects include Atmos mixes for EMI artists Charley and Cat & Calmell, alongside sound design and mixing for installations at Vivid Sydney and Sydney Zoo.

Balancing technical prowess with experimental sensibilities, Josh shines across all genres, but has a particular affinity for electronic, alt-pop, and indie music.
